Fundrella welcomes Struan Malcolm as chief operating officer

Fundrella has announced the appointment of Struan Malcolm as chief operating officer as part of its initiative to accelerate growth and global expansion.

Malcolm’s appointment comes as Fundrella continues to expand internationally, broadening its user base of institutional investors and growing its asset manager client base.

Malcolm has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently serving as head of Nordic sales for Northern Trust’s asset servicing business.

Prior to his 10-year spell at Northern Trust in Stockholm, Malcolm was vice president for EMEA sales and executions at Nomura, and worked in transition management at Northern Trust and ABN Amro Bank.

Commenting on his new role, Malcolm says: “Fundrella has built a matchmaking engine for ESG criteria in the asset manager selection process now followed by professional investors that use Fundrella. Asset managers [can benefit] from accessing scalable technology, improved data insights, and greater visibility.”

Wava Bodin, founder and CEO of Fundrella, comments: "[Malcolm] is a fantastic addition to our leadership team, with strong industry experience and sector expertise to help accelerate our business growth.”

"Struan’s background in asset management, asset servicing, and distribution will also be a huge asset for Fundrella and its clients and users. We are excited for Struan to lead our partnership strategy as we seek to accelerate our expansion into new markets."
