Information Mosaic, has recently launched its new IMConnectingTM solution to provide a next generation, interactive channel to the post-trade environment for front office and client users. The solution provides a sophisticated, Web 2.0 user experience, including mail box, chat features, touch-screen and handheld device compatibility and will be demonstrated on an iPad at Sibos 2010.
Developed in collaboration with customer user groups, and already in beta at a global financial services institution, IMConnecting provides a multi-lingual, self-service window that puts end users in control, enabling them to improve decision making with trend and what-if analyses. Alerts and notifications are pushed to users by custom-set rules and processing is sped up using default instruction preferences.
IMConnecting streamlines business and customer reporting and communication, delivering transparency and reducing the error risk and cost of administrating portfolios for asset servicing firms. The solution can be white-labelled and integrated seamlessly with an institution's existing internet portals ensuring a consistent brand experience.
"The focus on improving investor empowerment, communication and transparency demands a change in how post-trade information is disseminated and used. Our clients' front office and external clients need more visibility, they need to be able to analyse their portfolios, be notified of urgent actions wherever they are and be able to take action quickly and directly through electronic channels," says John Byrne, CEO Information Mosaic. "What we are doing with IMConnecting is providing that interactive link with the post-trade environment but with a focus on delivering a market-beating user experience. This is about adapting to how people now work, their need to have user-centric applications that help prioritise tasks and the ability to work anytime, anywhere, on any mobile device. By using the very latest internet technologies, we're bringing the post-trade world into line with emerging, more sophisticated online channels. At the same time implementing state of the art security principles."
Example applications of the new solution include:
Corporate Actions: Users can view and analyse corporate actions data with the benefit of 'what if' analysis and make decisions closer to final deadlines due to the efficiencies of electronic decision capture, allowing them a thorough assessment of market conditions.
Proxy Voting: Electronic communication combined with an e-voting infrastructure connects shareholders with proxies, proactively providing information about proxy events and alert deadlines. The system also automatically collates votes and declares results.
Custody: Users can analyse and value their portfolios and instruct trades electronically through this central communications hub, removing error risk from manual data entry and reducing the cost of administrating portfolios.
