Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) is to launch Global Proxy Distribution (GPD) Golden Agenda API, an application programming interface (API).

ISS provides software for clients’ regulatory requirements, such as the EU Shareholder Rights Directive II (SRD II), and specialist local market governance knowledge to its suite of GPD solutions for custodians and intermediaries.

ISS’ existing GPD Golden Agenda solution leverages the company’s pro-actively sourced meeting and agenda data. This data is curated, translated and standardised by ISS’ multi-lingual network of governance analysts, located worldwide, developed to power all of our premium governance solutions.

The new GPD Golden Agenda API will allow clients to leverage ISS’ existing premium GPD Golden Agenda content and integrate meeting notification information directly into their internal systems.

ISS’ existing GPD Golden Agenda solution utilises ISS’ pro-actively sourced meeting and agenda data.

Existing Golden Agenda data points will be augmented with new data points relating to SRD II requirements where available.

Golden Agenda API is expected to go live in Q3 2022.

Rudi Kuntz, head of global proxy distribution at ISS, says: “In addition to leveraging ISS’ premium content, the seamless new Golden Agenda API distribution mechanism allows clients to receive meeting information from ISS in a secure manner with increased efficiency and frequency.”

Lorraine Kelly, head of ISS governance solutions, comments: “ISS continues to innovate and invest in solutions and services throughout the value chain for the benefit of custodians and intermediaries, as well as our institutional investor clients broadly.”

Deutsche Börse completed the acquisition of an 81 per cent stake in ISS in February 2021.
