State Street has launched Vote Connect Total, Proxymity’s digital proxy voting service, in the UK and Ireland in anticipation of the 2023 proxy season.
The service is designed to make issuer and investor relations more efficient and remove the need for manual intervention. Issuers can publish golden source meeting announcements and agendas to investors, with investors receiving near real-time ballots, improved deadlines and instant vote delivery and verification.
Using Vote Connect Total, State Street’s clients can extend their voting deadlines, increase transparency, improve accuracy and accelerate the proxy voting process.
The rollout marks the continuation of State Street’s use of Proxymity’s products, with the Shareholder ID solution adopted in 2020.
Earlier this month, both BNY Mellon and Citi announced their adoption of Vote Connect Total in certain jurisdictions.
Dean Little, co-founder and CEO of Proxymity, comments: “State Street [is] a highly valued and integral member of our investor consortium. As we grow our collaboration in connecting additional markets to the Vote Connect platform, we continue to extend the benefits of digital, real-time communication throughout the entire ecosystem.”
Chris Rowland, global head of custody at State Street, adds: “We remain committed to bringing solutions to our clients to connect issuers and investors through a transparent, accurate and real-time environment.”
