Google Cloud partner with Snowdrop

Google Cloud has announced a financial services partnership with Snowdrop Solutions.
The partnership aims to enrich transactional data at scale in order to foster global financial transparency and trust between institutions and customers.
Snowdrop can now use Google Cloud’s tools to add geolocation data to a customer's transaction history with the aim of streamlining transactions.
Snowdrop can now leverage its data warehouse, BigQuery, with Vertex AI to automate a lot of background research and expand its global reach.
Daniel Acosta, head of technology at Snowdrop, says: “It would take months of research into new regions to see what independent businesses are there and add that information to our database. That’s now an AI-assisted, automated process that pulls data from Google Places, while Vertex AI adds components and checkpoints to validate our merchant matches and ensure the results are accurate.”
The partnership will also allow Snowdrop access to Google Cloud’s Gemini to help operate in different languages and alphabets.
