ICJ expands its partnership with Broadridge
20 February 2025 Japan

Investor Communications Japan (ICJ) has expanded its partnership with Broadridge to handle their electronic proxy voting data.
ICJ, as a joint venture of Broadridge and the Tokyo Stock Exchange, provides electronic proxy voting platform services to Japanese issuers and investors. Following the launch of the Japan Securities Depository Center (JASDEC) 2025 project, the partnership will enable ICJ to continue their services after the current solution is decommissioned as a result of the security enhancement within JASDEC 2025's new shareholder information system initiative.
ICJ also says that it will use Broadridge's JASDEC processing solution for managing the proxy voting data, with the aim of reducing administrative risks and errors.
ICJ President, Shigeo Imakiire, comments: "We have worked closely with Broadridge operating our joint electronic proxy voting platform, and now we have decided to further expand this collaboration to promote the digitalisation of data processing and the enhancement of security."
"Broadridge is proud to support the ongoing growth of ICJ, by providing innovative digital technology solutions to benefit issuers and help modernise the industry in compliance with market changes such as JASDEC 2025,” adds David Runacres, president of APAC at Broadridge.
