Murex has introduced a new version of its MX.3 for Limit Control – its exposure and limit management framework spanning whole trading and banking systems within firms.

The upgrade comes as a response to the regulatory environment and the industry’s growing concerns about ‘flash-crashes’ and other major market events.

Murex has made improvements to limit management and pre-deal limit checking and added new features for credit approval and workflows, limit aggregation and limit compliance.

There have also been significant enhancements to the product’s ergonomics, scalability, and performance of limit features, meaning tools are simpler to use and operation costs can be reduced.

Alexandre Bon, head of the risk control division at Murex, said: “MX.3 for Limit Control has become central to our clients’ core global limits infrastructures where it improves the quality of strategic risk decisions by offering online exposure aggregation, immediate identification of risk concentrations and limit excesses, accelerated analysis and issue resolution.”

More than 150 institutions currently use MX.3 for Limit Control for their risk policy governance. The firm intends to continue to add functional and technological functionalities in line with future market changes.
