Murex has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to allow its clients to deploy, test and optimise its MX.3 platform on the cloud.
The cloud adoption will help clients to migrate their Murex application workloads to the AWS Cloud.
According to Murex, new and upcoming regulatory requirements are also pushing financial organisations to use cloud to scale up its computing capacity.
Philippe Helou, co-founder and managing partner at Murex, commented: “Financial institutions are looking to the cloud for infrastructure elasticity and increased performance. In particular, grid computing brings tremendous value to our clients, and DBS Bank is already live on the Murex risk grid on the AWS Cloud with impressive results.”
Frank Fallon, vice president of global financial services at AWS, added: “The financial services industry is constantly trying to balance the trade-off between compliance and innovation. Running risk management workloads on the AWS cloud can help mitigate many of the issues that impede holistic, cost-effective risk management.”
“We are excited to see DBS running the Murex risk grid on AWS, helping to enable them to realise the benefits of moving to the cloud—agility, elasticity, and not in investing in costly and complex infrastructure.”
