Jason Nabi joins Arqit

Arqit Quantum, a quantum encryption technology firm, appoints Jason Nabi to managing director of financial services at its London office. Nabi has 30 years of experience in capital markets and within the finance technology sector, developing services, delivering growth and technology-based products, including digital assets. His most recent positions include Euroclear’s group head of strategy and M&A, and Luxoft’s advisor and global head of wealth and asset management. Earlier in his career, Nabi worked as CEO of off-shore and alternative funds at BNP Paribas, previously managing director and head of financial intermediaries, during his seven years with the firm. Commenting on the announcement, Arqit Founder, chairman and CEO David Williams says: “We are thrilled to have Jason join our company to build a high-performance team to drive our financial services division and capitalise on the massive unmet demand not only for stronger, simpler encryption but also in the value-added services we are building.” Nabi adds: “The financial services move to digital assets and take-up of investing in crypto is evidenced everywhere. For every financial services firm and institution, the protection of client data, surety of transactions and safety of assets in a digital ecosystem needs stronger, simpler encryption. “In fact, the digital assets boom will not last unless the cryptographic problem at their heart is solved. I’m excited to help lead the growth and development of the business in the financial services sector”.
