Deutsche Bank names Janak Dalal as head of securities services for India and Sri Lanka

Deutsche Bank has appointed Janak Dalal as head of securities services for India and Sri Lanka. Dalal has served Deutsche bank for more than 14 years, most recently as head of its Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). With more than 24 years of experience, he has also spent time at SS&C and American Skandia. The appointment follows Deutsche Bank’s launch of its IFSC banking unit in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City earlier this year. The bank has operated in India for more than 42 years, and continues to grow its presence in the country. Kaushik Shaparia, CEO of Deutsche Bank India, says: “Janak is perfectly positioned to helm this business at this time of transformation within the financial services industry. His extensive cross-product experience, and deep understanding of the India and overseas market, will be invaluable in providing complete solutions to financial institutions and partners across locations served by the group.” Anand Rengarajan, head of securities services for APAC at Deutsche Bank, adds: “Janak will play a significant role in driving the next stage of growth for our business in India and the region.”
