John Lloyd leaves HSBC

John Lloyd has left HSBC Securities Services after a 15-year tenure. His next role is unknown. Lloyd has been on sabbatical from HSBC since June 2022. Before that, he was chief operating officer at the company for four years. He also served as chief control officer for global banking and markets from March 2015 to March 2018 and was global head of control and cross product services from 2008 to 2015. Lloyd has been a non-executive director for HSBC Securities Services (Ireland) and for HSBC Electronic Data Processing Lanka PVT. Lloyd has also served at Deutsche Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland. Commenting on his departure, Lloyd says: “I have been fortunate to work in five different banks during my career, but I can honestly say that HSBC has a culture like no other and has given me the opportunity over the past 15 years to grow as a leader and build some of the most wonderful friendships, for which I will always be grateful.” He adds: “I would like to thank everyone who I have worked with for the support you have given to me [...] now it's time for the new challenge to begin with more to follow soon!”
